Best overall dog daycare and boarding

- More experienced staff
- Can accommodate special needs dogs

- Only site with 24/7 onsite staffing (staff stay overnight with your dog)
- Dedicated senior center for older dogs

Cons:
- Recent relocation may be less convenient than the previous location
Rover’s Place serves as one of the oldest continually running dog day care and boarding facilities in the Northbrook area. Its offerings include dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training services, making it an all-inclusive pet resort. Surprisingly, not all pet resorts in the area offer each of these services, which adds to the level of convenience provided by Rover’s Place.
Rover’s Place further stands out for its well-trained staff who provide truly exceptional care to all types of dogs. For example, this facility was more easily able to provide care to senior dogs, special needs dogs, and other types of unique situations as it offers the widest array of socialization activities and has better monitored dog personality aligned play rooms.
Additionally, this facility has boarding staff who stay overnight onsite with pets, which is less common in an age where many facilities only offer passive digital overnight monitoring of dogs who are boarded. Extra touches, such as these, were many and stood out to us when comparing facilities.
We also felt that Rover’s Place was the cleanest of all of the facilities that we assessed. Their team cleans incessantly to ensure that dogs have spotless play and boarding experiences available for their enjoyment.
We give our highest rating to Rover’s Place as the definitive pet daycare and boarding services frontrunner throughout Northbrook, IL, and surrounding suburbs including Deerfield, Northfield, Highland Park, Skokie, Wheeling, Glenview, Glencoe, and others.

- Staff
- Quality of pet care
- Cleanliness
- Facility and amenities
- Price
To gather insights, our process for rating each facility included direct conversations with team members at each location through ‘secret shopping’, obtaining customer feedback, and other research.
We aim to help pet parents make the most informed decisions when selecting a pet daycare and boarding facility to help you find the best fit for your pet care needs.
Ultimately, all reviews reflect the opinions of Pet Care Check and are subject to be different from the experiences of others. These opinions are our own and solely reflect Pet Care Check’s perspectives.
